Dr Wells qualified from Dundee university in 1995. He trained in Birmingham and Stoke programs and is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. He specialises in complex vascular intervention and embolization re vitalizing Uterine artery embolization at Royal Stoke and introducing  prostate artery embolization.

Being the research lead in Radiology Dr Wells manages a portfolio of 150 trials. He was an investigator for the multicentre randomised control trial of uterine artery embolization vs myomectomy and principle investigator for UK ROPE. Having presented widely both nationally and internationally on embolization and trauma he believes in evidence based medicine and auditing outcomes to ensure quality for his patients.

On a personal note:
David has three children, enjoys mountaineering and mountain biking and travels widely with his family.

Dr Kader Allouni

CONSULTANT INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGIST
MA(oxen), BMBCh, FRCR

Dr Allouni is a consultant Interventional Radiologist at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. Having qualified in Medicine in 2008 from Oxford University, he trained in radiology at St Barts’ and the Royal London Hospitals, London, and returned to Oxford in 2013 to undertake a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology. He specialises in vascular and oncological intervention and has extensive experience in managing patients with peripheral vascular disease and aortic aneurysms.

He has numerous peer-reviewed papers and was recipient of the 2015 Ig Nobel Award in Diagnostic Medicine. Currently, Kader is primary investigator for a British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR) funded multicentre trial in biliary stenting. He is actively involved in medical student and radiology specialist training.

On a personal note:
Kader is kept busy at home playing with his two young daughters. He is a keen photographer and cyclist, enjoying all that Staffordshire has to offer, weather permitting!

Mr Gourab Misra

CONSULTANT OBSTETRICIAN and GYNAECOLOGIST
MB BS, MRCOG, Diploma in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy, MCh in Robotic Surgery

Mr Misra is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at University Hopitals of North Midlands. Having qualified in medicine from the University of Burdwan, India, and elected Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, London, he has trained in advanced laparoscopipc and hysteroscopic surgery, being awarded a Masters of Surgery from the University Cambridge. He is lead for gynaecological services, minimal access surgery and endometriosis.

He is the divisional research lead and chief investigator in a National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) funded randomised control trial comparing methods of surgically dealing with endometriosis. Gourab provides training in advanced gynaecological laparoscopy, surgical management of endometriosis and fibroids and advanced hysteroscopic surgery.

On a personal note:
Gourab has 2 children and spends his free time in playing cricket with them. He is very passionate about music and travelling.

Mr Zeiad El-Gizawy

CONSULTANT OBSTETRICIAN and GYNAECOLOGIST
MBBCh, MD, MRCOG, Dip Med Ed, Dip Advanced Gynae Endoscopy

Mr El-Gizawy is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrican at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. He completed his Specialist Registrar training in the West Midlands Deanery and received his training in advanced laparoscopic surgery in the University Hospital of North Staffordshire and Birmingham Women’s Hospital, as well as completed a postgraduate diploma in advanced gynaecological endoscopy in Surrey University.

He has extensive experience managing general gynaecology cases, as well as disorders of menstruation and female hormones. He is also experienced in the medical and surgical management of fertility disorders and early pregnancy complications. He has a keen interest in managing pelvic pain and endometriosis and is proficient in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgical techniques.
